   Introduction: Using potassium borohydride or sodium borohydride as a reducing agent, the elements to be analyzed in the sample solution are reduced to volatile covalent gaseous hydrides (or atomic vapor). These hydrides are then carried by a carrier gas into an atomizer, where they are atomized in an argon-hydrogen flame to form ground-state atoms.
